Ticket to the World IVEProject textbook
The IVEProject online textbook – Ticket to the World
We are proud to introduce the IVEProject online textbook called “Ticket to the World” in addition to the creation of a resource library to support better participation in the IVEProject. Our goals for this textbook are:
1. To provide you and your students with excellent materials to learn English.
2. To enable the IVEProject to become self-sustainable through the sale of the online textbook.
3. To allow teachers to upload and share their own materials. If those are used by other teachers, sharing will be profitable for all involved.
4. To be able to give back to teachers offering feedback relating to "Ticket to the World".
Each teacher whose students use the online textbook gets access to extra tools in the IVEProject such as the forum report and will have:
• their own Ticket to the World course on the IVEProject site and their students assigned to it.
• weekly online exercises (grammar, vocabulary, listening, etc.) for students to do – these will be automatically graded and added to the grade-book
• access to materials that teachers can use in their classes
• a grade-book listing all students’ achievement scores
• links from the course directly to the IVEProject activities
• rubrics available for grading of outside class work
• and plenty more!
Pricing will be very competitive when compared to physical textbooks used in the countries of IVEProject participants. In Japan, the price will be ¥1,800 / student and 75,000 Indonesian rupiah or 125 Mexican peso. Prices for other countries will be forthcoming when you contact us. Online payment will be incorporated.
This textbook will be a time-saver for teachers and will help students improve their English and participate more fully in the IVEProject by providing practice materials that tie directly into discussion topics in the IVEProject forums. Customization of the textbook course will also be possible for teachers who desire to do so. Students will be able to access the textbooks from any internet-enabled device at any time. Purchasing and using the textbook will also help the IVEProject grow and the content will become even better with the feedback and input of teachers over time.
I hope you will consider using "Ticket to the World" with your students and adding your materials to the resource base. I look forward to working with you to make the IVEProject textbook the best learning material available. Contact me for further details.
Sincerely,
